Nine years ago, under the control and planning of Osama Bin Laden, our nation was brutally attacked by nineteen Al Qaeda terrorists who’s evil, radical agenda was to murder as many Americans as possible and to dismantle our freedom. Their monstrous acts of extremism and absolute disregard for the sanctity of human life are responsible for the images you are seeing. Though perpetually painful, we must NEVER FORGET the thousands of souls who perished and over six thousand who were injured during the most heinous terrorist act since Pearl Harbor.
Now more than ever, it is most important to respect the thousands of families who were mournfully engulfed by the attacks on 911. That said, many of us feel it would be a dishonor to these families to pretend as if it never happened. We are dodging the mainstream media’s deliberate aim to suppress the images of the 9/11 attacks. We simply will not allow the height of 9/11 and the thousands of innocent lives to be brought low by the advancing obliteration of political correctness. Indeed, there are some who are seeing these images being erased from history (literally airbrushed from photos) in order to caress the “frailty” of the American people. This is a severe underestimation of the time-tested resilience and enduring hope that is the American Spirit.
We believe that it is blatantly UNCONSTITUTIONAL to delay and/or oppress information about our history. As painful as it is for all of us, we have prayerfully considered our actions and therefore embrace the truth of these images. We feel it is equally important to protect our freedom of speech. Information, including the heartbreaking images of 9/11, must not be intentionally hidden. Americans have the right and dare we suggest the obligation to teach our children the absolute truth and the true virtues of our nation. “We The People” are the heart and soul of freedom. We love freedom and are tenacious to a fault when it is necessary to fight for it. Our Founding Fathers believed in “We The People”. They understood that UNITED, UNDER GOD, we are strong enough to stand and even succeed against the tyranny of oppression. These great men (and let’s not forget the great women who stood just as strong for freedom) not only articulated these beliefs, they were willing to die for them. Their many sacrifices launched freedom and all the greatness of our Constitution for future generations.
Our enemies thought they could stop this – that freedom would be destroyed at the blast of their weapons. They failed to realize that freedom is far more powerful than any weapon –Deep seated in all of us is the DNA of the freedom given to us by our Creator. The horror of 9/11, miraculously overcome by the people of 9/12, could not scratch the foundation of what our Founding Fathers established. From the thousands who stood hours in line to donate blood to those who threw change into outstretched fireman’s boots, Americans came together and took care of each other.
Our nation was resolute in its response to the state sponsors of 9/11 and the adjacent terrorist groups that carried out these cowardly attacks. After years of fighting the terrorists, one thing is certain - The enduring light of faith and freedom cannot be snuffed out by the debilitating darkness of fear and hate. So much was lost on 9/11 that can never be replaced, but so much was gained on 9/12 that can never be ignored. In honor of our dearly departed brothers and sisters, we offer a simple song of hope. As millions of ordinary Americans continue to reach out with extraordinary love, we remind one another that, “Together, We Can Go On”…
