So here it is in a nutshell, several rules of internet - etiquette:
1. It’s ok to disagree with others, but do be respectful. Calling names, using vulgarity and or just being plain argumentative is unproductive. If you can’t offer a decent rebuttal, keep your thoughts to yourself. Simply antagonizing someone to keep a thread active is counterproductive.
2. Focus on our commonalities, not our differences… Only by focusing on what brings us together and not in what separates us can we truly stand shoulder to shoulder; UNITED in our "fight" to get our country back.
3. Typing in all caps is tantamount to shouting, whether in e-mails, posts or chat. A message may be perceived wrong when the reader thinks they are being yelled at. Using all capitals may also get you banned from most chat rooms, as it is considered rude.
4. Don’t forget, everything you write is on display for the world to see. If you don’t want to the world knowing something, don’t post it.
5. Remember to take a breath before hitting “reply”. People tend to become courageous behind their keyboards. Please, it only takes a few words to change what you meant to said into something you wish you hadn’t. Be considerate of others and recognize that you may have to agree to disagree, as we will not always see eye to eye on everything.
Where shall I post this?
A general good rule of thumb is that blogs are meant to be more of opinion based essays or informative commentary. Forums should be used for short information sharing, or sharing links that you find and wish to tell others about. We can all organize better, and have a more productive site if we work together. Look to see if there is a current thread about the topic you are discussing, rather than creating a new one. It will make the website far more useful, and your information won’t get lost among the masses. Use the categories within the forums appropriately, rather than posting it all over the place. We realize that you want to get your information out to everyone, but please understand that it makes it easier to find if you organize it well.
Also, at the bottom of every forum discussion and blog when you are creating it you will find “tags”. By adding your search terms here, other members will be able to search and find the information you are wishing to share. If you can’t find a Forum Topic that covers what you wish to share, please contact the Technical Team for assistance.
General Internet Security
Please remember that the internet is a vastly open world of its own. Please do not share your personal information on any site you participate with. Your email addresses and phone numbers as a general internet rule should only be exchanged via your inboxes.
